January 4 – A trailer for Jana Nayagan, which marks Thalapathy Vijay’s last movie prior to his entry into politics, was unveiled on Friday in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi at 6:45 PM. Helmed by H. Vinoth, this fast-paced thriller offers an exciting mix of intense action and political elements, featuring music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
A 2 minute and 52 second trailer demonstrates Vijay’s distinctive approach, featuring high-energy fight scenes and polished cinematography. Joining him are Pooja Hegde, Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju, and Bobby Deol, who take central parts in the film; Deol's portrayal is noted as powerful and dominant, according to NDTV.
At the audio release event held in Malaysia, Vijay stated that Jana Nayagan will mark his final cinematic endeavor. "When I first stepped into the film industry, I believed I was constructing a tiny sandhouse. However, my fans helped turn it into a grand palace. Because of this, I'm stepping away from acting and choosing to stand with them," he mentioned.
Set within a significant political setting, the movie portrays Vijay's role as he deals with authority and governance. It is planned for an opening on January 9, aligning with the Pongal/Sankranti celebrations, and will compete at the theater with Prabhas' The Raja Saab and Sivakarthikeyan's Parasakthi.
